Genndy Tartakovsky Is Developing a Supernatural Animated Series for HBO Max Titled UNICORN: WARRIOR ETERNAL
Genndy Tartakovsky, the man who created Samurai Jack and Primal, is developing a new animated series that is sure to get his fans excited. The series is titled Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, and it’s “a supernatural animated series inspired by myths and lore from across the globe.”
The series is coming to HBO Max, and the story follows “a team of ancient heroes as they work together to protect the world from an unforeseen and ominous force. The heroes, who are originally unicorns, find themselves in the bodies of teenagers after a rude awakening that leaves their memories forgotten and powers weakened.”
This group of heroes is put in a situation where they have to navigate the emotional ups and downs of teenagers while also protecting the world from its ultimate demise. Tartakovsky said in a statement:
“Twenty-five years ago Dexter’s Laboratory was Cartoon Network’s first original series. It launched an incredible creative relationship that continued to prosper throughout the years. Today, I am so proud and honored to be able to create an animated series for HBO Max and Cartoon Network, and start a new relationship, fostering more bold and original storytelling. Unicorn: Warriors Eternal is going to be crazy cool and I can’t wait for people to see it.”
Tom Ascheim, President, Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics (GKYAC), who also oversees kids programming for HBO Max added:

I can’t wait to watch this series and see how this new epic adventure of Tartakovsky plays out! I’m a huge fan of Tartakovsky, the guy has told some awesome stories in the projects that he has worked on and created, and Unicorn: Warriors Eternal sounds like it’s going to be a blast.
