Geoff Johns Is Now a Producer on HBO Max's Live-Action GREEN LANTERN TV Series

A few months ago we learned that Warner Bros. and DC were developing a Green Lantern TV series for HBO Max with Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Titans, Doom Patrol). Well, over the weekend the series was listed on the official website of Mad Ghost Productions, which is Geoff Johns's production company, so it looks like he’s jumped on board as a producer.

The show doesn’t have an official title yet, but it will be a live-action series and it’s rumored to tie into the Green Lantern Corps movie, which has been set up at the studio for years. A brief description provided on the website read:

"The first live-action series delving into the Green Lantern universe."

HBO Max Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey previously shared the following information on the show saying:

“It’s going to span several decades on focus on two stories about Green Lanterns on Earth as well as one in space going into the Sinestro story.”

Green Lantern has the potential to be an incredibly awesome series and film. It just needs the right creative team on board to bring it to life! I’ve curious to see what comes of this. What would you like to see from a Green Lantern TV series?

As for the film, Green Lantern Corps, there’s no update, but the film’s story will feature Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
