George Clooney Says a Great Script Exists For Another OCEAN'S Movie, and He Admits "We May End Up Doing Another One"
George Clooney has a fun update for fans of the Ocean’s 11 film trilogy. It’s been sixteen years since Ocean’s 13 was released in theaters. We saw the female-led Ocean’s 8 in theaters five years ago, which tied into the franchise, but it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen the original cast together onscreen. Now it looks as though we may get to see them reunite for one more heist.
In a recent interview with Uproxx while promoting his movie The Boys in the Boat, the actor revealed that a script for another Ocean’s movie exists that would reunite the original trilogy’s cast for a movie set after Ocean’s 13. Clooney said:
“We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we may end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script.”
When asked if the script was for a potential Ocean’s 14, Clooney responded:
“Well… I don’t want to call it that… I mean, the idea is kind of like ‘Going in Style.'”
Clooney is referring to Martin Brest’s 1979 heist comedy, which famously starred George Burns, Art Carney, Lee Strasberg and Charles Hallahan. Zach Braff remade the film in 2017 with a cast that featured Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin. The plot centers on three senior citizens who team up to pull off a heist.
The original Ocean’s trilogy, directed by Steven Soderbergh, featured Clooney opposite Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Casey Affleck and more in what made a great ensemble. Two of the cast members are no longer alive, but it would be great to see the rest of them reunite. I love all of those movies, and it would be a blast to see them go on another adventure.
