George Lucas Visits the Set of THE MANDALORIAN on Jon Favreau's Birthday and Here's a Photo
Jon Favreau had a pleasant surprise on his birthday today when Star Wars creator George Lucas showed up on the set of Lucasfilm’s live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian!
Favreau even shared a photo of the occasion, which gives us a new look at the set of the film. You can check out that photo below.
George Lucas isn’t really involved anymore with the Star Wars franchise, but it’s still pretty cool that he’s still interested enough in what’s going on with his creation that he visits the sets of the films and projects. Sometimes he even offers his input. I wonder if he had any advice for Favreau’s series.
We don’t really know what this setting in the photo is, but it has a cantina kind of vibe. It also looks like Lucas brought Favreau some wine, which is a bottle of Skywalker Ranch Pinot Noir.
Anyway, Happy Birthday, Mr. Favreau! We hope you has an awesome day!
Here’s the synopsis that was released for the series.
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Warsuniverse. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The series will be directed by Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
