George Miller is Directing a Film with Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton Called THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING

George Miller has a new film project that he’s ready to start production on called Three Thousand Years of Longing. This will be the first film that he will direct since Mad Max: Fury Road!

Miller wrote the script for the film and Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton are set to star in it. We don’t know much about the story, but Deadline says that it’s an epic fantasy romance film that revolves around a genie. There’s no word on who the actors will be playing, but I imagine one of them will be playing the genie.

It’s great to see George Miller is directing another movie, which is set to start shooting next year, but I wonder what happened with the Mad Max: Fury Road sequel. Why didn’t that ever happen, especially with the crazy success that Fury Road saw?

Regardless, I’m interested in seeing what this movie turns out to be. Are you excited to see Miller getting back to work and making a new movie?
