MMA fighting superstar Georges St-Pierre made his big MCU debut in Captain America: The Winter Solider as Georges Batroc. He has a badass fight sequence at the beginning of the film with Captain America.

The actor has confirmed that he will return to the franchise in Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Solider. St-Pierre shared, "No one is more excited than I am to come back. I feel very blessed and happy. It was a great learning experience."

He went on to talk about his preparation to return, saying, "I started taking it more seriously, and now I’m having acting class every week. Theater, camera acting, audition coaching and English lessons. It’s a lot of work, and I put in the same amount of work and passion that I used for training. In martial arts, you start at white belt. That’s where I have to start with acting. I have to climb the mountain again."

There’s no word on what exactly his role in the series will entail, but I imagine that he’s going to have some more awesome action sequences and maybe some actual character development.

Georges Batroc is an infamous mercenary and pirate who used his skills to become one of Interpol's most wanted criminals. He was hired by Nick Fury in The Winter Solider to the hijack the Lemurian Star as a cover for Natasha Romanoff to uncover classified information regarding Project Insight. He was captured, extradited to Algiers and interrogated by S.H.I.E.L.D. after an encounter with Captain America. Now, in this new series, he’s coming out to play again.
