Gerard Butler Is Framed For Attempting To Kill The President in New Trailer For ANGEL HAS FALLEN
Gerard Butler is back as Secret Service Agent Mike Banning in the upcoming film Angel Has Fallen and we have a new trailer for the film to show you that is filled with new action packed footage. This time Banning is framed for an assassination attempt on the President of the United States (Morgan Freeman) so he embarks on a mission to clear his name.
I’ve enjoy the previous two films in the franchise that consist of Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen and this next chapter of the story looks like it will be as entertaining as those movies were.
When there is an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. After escaping from capture, he becomes a man on the run and must evade his own agency and outsmart the FBI in order to find the real threat to the President. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm and save the country from imminent danger.
When previously talking about the film, Butler said, “It’s the same man in the same position, but it’s a much deeper, darker journey. There’s still huge set pieces and we made sure not to disappoint the fans of the first two, but you’re really inside this character, watching him try to get his shit together.”
Nick Nolte also stars in the movie along with Danny Huston, Michael Landes, Tim Blake Nelson, Piper Perabo, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Lance Reddick.
Angel Has Fallen hits theaters on August 23rd.
