Gerard Butler Set To Star in NIGHT HAS FALLEN, Another Sequel To The HAS FALLEN Franchise
A few months ago Gerard Butler revealed that Angel Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and Olympus Has Fallen would be getting another sequel. When talking about reprising his role as Fallen hero Mike Banning, Butler said:
"I think with everything going on, we need him. He needs to come back. Yeah, I think you will be seeing another. We're toying away with another really fantastic idea that we're working on at the moment that obviously we can't say too much about."
Well, it has been confirmed that Butler will be back for another sequel and it will be titled Night Has Fallen. This Mike Banning character, a former Army Ranger who worked as a protective agent for the Secret Service, just can’t get a break! Trouble finds him wherever he goes.
The script is being written by Robert Kamen along with Ric Roman Waugh returning to the franchise to direct. The movie will be shot at Millennium Media’s Nu Boyana Studios in Bulgaria.
I’ve enjoyed this action franchise and while there are no story details to share on this next sequel, I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of intense situation Butler finds himself in next.
