Get a Fresh Look at 'The Icebrood Saga' in GUILD WARS 2 with 'Visions of the Past: Steel and Fire'
Guild Wars is 15 years old, guys! This franchise is my absolute favorite for MMORPGs, and I’m really excited to see it still going strong. To celebrate this birthday, ArenaNet is going to release “a new type of Living World experience[.]” This experience will be called “Visions of the Past: Steel and Fire” and will release on March 17. The idea is that this will provide players with a new perspective on “The Icebrood Saga.”
[Players will] get up close and personal with the charr, enlisting in Ryland Steelcatcher’s Steel Warband and uncovering new mysteries locked away deep in the Shiverpeaks. A new 10-player instance tasking the squad to escort a charr Devastator tank to the top of the mountains joins a new story mission that illuminates further details about the charr’s efforts to awaken the Elder Dragon Jormag.
In addition, players will have the chance to peer into the scrying pool in the Eye of the North. This allows them to go back and play select missions from Living World Season One! That hasn’t been doable since 2013! In addition, new rewards will be available including the Advanced Norn Armor set and weapon skins for members of the Steel Warband. The Eye of the North will even serve as a hub for new Strike Missions from “The Icebrood Saga.”
“Visions of the Past” will be free for all Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire owners with the Eye of the North hub becoming available to all Guild Wars 2 players. I cannot wait for March 17!
