Get GUILD WARS 2's "The Icebrood Saga" for Free and PATH OF FIRE for Half Price to Celebrate 15 Years of GUILD WARS
Guild Wars is celebrating its 15th anniversary right now and that means ArenaNet is looking to give Guild Wars 2 players some love. First, players can get free gifts between now and May 22 including Prince Rurik’s Vanguard Cape. Rurik was a very prominent character in the first game, so this is an awesome way to celebrate. Plus, you can gather free Black Lion Trading Company goods like Black Lion Statuettes.
These anniversary gifts aren’t the only presents for Guild Wars 2 players though. For a limited time, fans can get each episode of “The Icebrood Saga” for free. Simply log in during the designated time frame and it’ll automatically be unlocked in your account.
April 28–May 4: “Prologue: Bound by Blood“
May 5–May 11: “Whisper in the Dark“
May 12–May 18: “Shadow in the Ice“
Players will notice additional buffs for a limited time:
30% Magic Find
50% XP from all sources
30% WvW Reward Track progress
30% PvP Reward Track progress.
Finally, while Guild Wars 2 is free, you’ll need Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire to play the episodes of “The Icebrood Saga” that you’re unlocking. Well, you can grab Path of Fire for 50% off now for either the Standard or Deluxe edition. This will also give players access to the first expansion, Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns. This is definitely a great deal that I highly recommend as Guild Wars 2 is my favorite MMORPG and a game that I always come back to. The 50% off sale will end on May 8, so you’ll want to hurry.
