GET OUT Director Jordan Peele Reveals His Next Horror Film US with Lupita Nyong’o and Elisabeth Moss

Get Out director Jordan Peele has announced his next horror film project. It will be called US and he released the first poster, which describes the movie as "a new nightmare." On top of that, it's being reported that Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale) and Winston Duke (Black Panther) are in talks to star! That's quite a cast!

That's all we really know about the project at the moment. Plot details are being kept under wraps. Peele will write and direct the film and when previously talking about what he would do next after Get Out, he said:

"One thing I know is that this is genre, and playing around with the thriller, horror, action, fun, genre of intrigue is my favorite. That’s my sweet spot. So I think tonally it should resemble Get Out. That said, I want to make a completely different movie. I want to address something different than race in the next one."

When asked about what he would do next, the director said:

"What do I do next? How do I top [Get Out]? And you know, and I think it’s important to focus on stories that are true to me. I go, when writing Get Out, my sort of mantra is or was, ‘Let’s write my favorite film I haven’t seen yet.’ So I think it’s easy to get sort of bogged down in ‘how does this compare to the first one, how does that compare?’ When all is said and done, my next film, I am currently writing it and I’ll direct for Universal this year, I’m just trying to entertain myself again."

I loved what he did with Get Out and I can't wait to see how his new horror film, US, turns out. Peele has proven himself to be a crazy talented filmmaker! Let's hope this next project blows his fans away. It will be released on March 15th, 2019.
