Get Ready for the Phantom Ranger and Dairanger Counterparts in POWER RANGERS UNIVERSE #1
Power Rangers fans are in for a big treat when Power Rangers Universe #1 drops later this month. Back in Edge of Darkness we learned a little bit about who the Phantom Ranger is, but now we’ll get to learn even more about his origin story.
What’s more is that we’ll meet a whole new team of Rangers that will morph into a team inspired by Gosei Sentai Dairanger which is where season two of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers got its Zords and monsters. This is very exciting and very interesting news for sure. We’ve got our first look at the comic below and this is not something that you’ll want to miss.
Also, why does the Phantom Ranger have a staff that looks an awful lot like Astronema’s in Derrick Chew’s variant cover? Power Rangers Universe #1 is written by Nicole Andelfinger with art by Simone Ragazzoni, colors by Mattia Iacono, and letters by Ed Dukeshire.
What is the true origin of the Phantom Ranger? And what is his connection to the Morphin Grid? From the moment he first appeared 24 years ago, fans have wondered about the origins of the powerful and mysterious Phantom Ranger and how they tie to the greater Power Rangers Universe. These are questions which have never been answered—until now—in the game-changing series event that no Power Rangers fan can afford to miss!
You can read Power Rangers Universe #1 on December 29 with physical copies available through your local comic shop and digital copies available through comiXology (affiliate link), Google Play, iBooks, and Kindle. The main cover is by Dan Mora with variants available from Miguel Mercado, Goñi Montes, InHyuk Lee, and Chew.
