Get Ready to Own the Soundtracks to MORTAL KOMBAT, HACKERS, and More Later This Year on Vinyl
Varèse Sarabande recently announced some cool upcoming records that they’ll be releasing on vinyl across a series of Record Store Days. On August 29, fans will be able to listen to the classic soundtrack for Sam Raimi’s Army of Darkness. Joe LoDuca’s score has been newly remastered for fans to enjoy.
Then, on September 26, will be able to listen to the soundtracks of Hackers, Mortal Kombat, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Aureyal Picture Disc). The Hackers score was composed by Simon Boswell and this vinyl edition features some never before released tracks like “Hackers Suite” which is performed by Boswell and two songs performed by Guy Pratt featuring David Gilmour: “One Combination” and “Grand Central Station.” Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat was composed by George S. Clinton with legendary guitarist Buckethead performing on 10 out of 26 tracks. The vinyl LP features the famous Mortal Kombat logo on one side and the nasty 4-armed Goro on the other. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance soundtrack was composed by Daniel Pemberton and Samuel Sim.
Finally, on October 24, the Crystal Chamber Picture Disc version of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance soundtrack will be released. This features different artwork on the vinyl as well as a completely different track list.
