Get Ready to Solve Point-and-Click Murder Mysteries with CASEBOOK 1899 - THE LEIPZIG MURDERS
I find it interesting that the mystery point-and-click adventure game genre seems to be making a small resurgence. The latest game announced in this genre is Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig Murders from Homo Narrans Studio which recently launched its Kickstarter. The game sees players take on the role of detective Joseph Kreiser as you try to solve four cases. Each case will have multiple endings although only one will result in the conviction of the true culprit(s). Casebook 1899 is also planning on featuring professional German voice actors and subtitles in German and English with additional languages teased as stretch goals. If you’re a fan of these types of games, this definitely has potential.
Leipzig 1899 - A German city on the threshold of the 20th century characterised by industrialisation, progress and innovation. But the darker sides include theft, robbery and murder. Detective Joseph Kreiser takes up the fight against crime.
If this is at all interesting to you, you can head on over to Kickstarter to support it and also over to Steam where you can play the first case in a demo. Casebook 1899 is currently slated for a late 2023 release on Linux, Mac, and PC via Steam.
