Get to Know Kendra in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER #13
Kendra is a Slayer in the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics and its time that fans get to know her a bit better. Buffy the Vampire Slayer #13 will focus on this character and how she came to be a Slayer and what she did before moving to Sunnydale. The series is written by Jordie Bellaire, colored by Raúl Angulo and Eleonora Bruni, and lettered by Ed Dukeshire with Joss Whedon serving as a a consultant. Issue #13 will feature art by guest artist Rosemary Valero-O’Connell.
“Before she became the Slayer, Kendra was a young woman in training on the island of Jamaica, fighting vampires under the guidance of her Watcher, and eagerly awaiting the day that she would be called to serve as the Chosen One. But when the vampires in her hometown get out of hand, threatening the safety of her people, will the young not-yet-Slayer have the strength to face them on her own? Or are the burdens too much for one teen to bear?”
