Tobin's Spirit Guide is a book that “serves as a compilation of various supernatural occurrences, entities, and facts. The computer software version is hard to find and is very expensive.” It often helps the Ghostbusters with identifying entities involved in the cases that they take on.

It’ll be fun and interesting to see how this book ends up being utilized in the film. It was recently confirmed by Dan Aykroyd that the film will involve the descendants of the Ghostbusters.

Reitman wrote the film with Monster House director Gil Kenan, and it will “focus on a family who moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to ‘learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself.’”

The movie stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. They will be joined by Paul Rudd, Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim. It’s also said that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, and Ernie Hudson will return to reprise their roles.

The new Ghostbusters movie is slated to hit theaters on July 10th, 2020.
