GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE Release Date Pushed Up a Week
Sony Pictures has announced that the release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has been moved up a week. The movie will now be released on March 22nd, 2024. It’s not a big jump, but hey! I'll take it!
In the story, New York City finds itself freezing over due to an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife co-writer and executive producer Gil Kenan is directing the sequel, with Afterlife director and co-writer Jason Reitman serving as writer and executive producer. The movie stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, comedian James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind have joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson are also all back for the new supernatural adventure!
The film is scheduled to be released on March 29th, 2024.
