GHOSTBUSTERS VFX Reel Highlights The Crazy Colored Ghouls
Say what you will about Paul Feig's Ghostbusters (and trust me, many of you have said plenty), but one thing a lot of people can actually agree on when it comes to this movie is that the visual effects are stunning. The neon color palette looked pretty damn incredible, and it was a good way to visually distance itself from the '84 classic (especially when so much of its plot admittedly relied a bit too much on callbacks).
This visual effects reel (via io9) shows off one of the big differences between the films: the way they incorporated light into the physical production to make it more believable that the characters are interacting with supernatural phenomena. From lights on the end of the proton packs to drones with lights attached used to represent some of the ghosts, they were pretty creative with this one. Check it out:
