Gina Carano Was Supposed to Get Her Own Cara Dune STAR WARS Series
As you may have heard by not, Lucasfilm recently announced that will no longer be working with The Mandalorian co-star Gina Carano. The decision to drop her was made after she posted some insensitive and offensive comments on social media and fans launched #FireGinaCarano campaign.
I’ve also recently learned at THR that Lucasfilm actually had plans to develop a solo series that centers around Carano’s character Cara Dune. They were going to announce that series during Disney’s big investor day presentation back in December of 2020. But, they scrapped everything after her first social media controversy involving controversial posts about mask-wearing during the pandemic and the 2020 presidential election. Earlier that year, she also took shots at the trans community, which she got a lot of heat over.
The outlet went on to say that Lucasfilm had been "looking for a reason to fire her for two months" and the most recent posts she shared on social media were the “final straw.”
Celebrities that have everything to lose should seriously just stay off social media. With all the controversy she has dealt with in the past, you’d think she’d lay off the social media! Carano’s talent agency has also recently dropped her, and just like that, her career has crashed and burned.
