Go Get Yourself an Alternate Cover Version of DRAGONLANCE: SHADOW OF THE DRAGON for DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Now!
Dungeons & Dragons has officially launched Dragonlance for 5E. Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen is a new adventure set in the beloved world of Krynn during the War of the lance. Dragonlance is a fan favorite setting for D&D players and many have been hyped for the release.
I’m still looking through the book myself, but it looks absolutely great! If you buy physical books, I highly recommend heading to your local game store and grabbing a copy of Shadow of the Dragon Queen with the alternate cover. It is absolutely stunning in person. It is definitely in my top 3 for alternate covers.
Of course, you can also purchase digital versions from D&D Beyond and there are bundles available with both he physical and digital versions of the book. Check out this video of project lead Wesley Schneider talking about what you need to run Shadow of the Dragon Queen.
In addition to Shadow of the Dragon Queen, the board game Dragonlance: Warriors of Krynn was released. This game was designed by Rob Daviau and Stephen Baker as it attempts to let you participate in mass battles and create memorable moments during the war. You can choose to play Warriors of Krynn on its own or use it in conjunction with your Shadow of the Dragon Queen campaign for more epicness. I haven’t been able to try out Warriors of Krynn yet (thanks to D&D for sending me a copy of it and the books for Shadow of the Dragon Queen), but I’m hoping to pull it out possibly over the holidays. You can watch an official unboxing video as well and see if Warriors of Krynn looks good to you.
