GODZILLA MINUS ONE Gets a "For Your Consideration" Oscar Nomination Poster
Toho has released a new “For Your Consideration” Oscar nomination poster for Godzilla Minus One. It was previously announced that the movie was up for Best Visual Effects for the 96th Academy Awards, and it was revealed recently that the movie had made the "short list". The King of the Monsters is now one of ten films in consideration for the nomination. Godzilla Minus One is the first Godzilla movie to be up for an Oscar nomination.
I saw this film for a third time recently and every time I see it, it gets better. Godzilla Minus One is one of my favorite films of the year, and I’ve never been so excited to see what Toho will do next with the franchise.
The movie is set in Japan 1945-1947. “After the war, Japan has been reduced to zero. Godzilla appears and plunges the country into a negative state. Against the most desperate situation in the history of Japan, how — and with whom — will Japan stand up to it?”
Godzilla Minus One is still in theaters, so if you haven’t seen it yet on the big screen… do it! This is a movie you don’t want to miss on the big screen!
