GODZILLA VS. KONG Director Says The Movie Will Be a "Massive Monster Brawl Movie" with Emotion

Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. are in the process of building up a giant monster universe that will eventually lead to Godzilla and King Kong coming face to face to battle. Fans are extremely excited to see these two monsters clash on the big screen.

Adam Wingard (You're Next, Death Note) is set to direct Godzilla Vs. Kong, and in a recent interview he talked a little bit about his plans saying:

"I really want you to take those characters seriously. I want you to be emotionally invested, not just in the human characters, but actually in the monsters. If I had my way, I want people to really be teary-eyed at the end of the movie, and be that invested into what’s going on."

So he wants to make a melodramatic monster movie? That's definitely an interesting direction to take these monstrous characters. It will definitely be interesting to see how he plans on pulling that off. Don't worry, though, he still plans on including plenty of badass action!

"It’s a massive monster brawl movie. There’s lots of monsters going crazy on each other, but at the end of the day I want there to be an emotional drive to it. I want you to be emotionally invested in them. I think that’s what’s going to make it cool."

Sounds like he's wanting to do something special and different with these characters and I really hope he can pull it off and deliver the amazingly action-packed and emotional monster movie that he is looking to make.

What do you all think about they direction he want's to take the movie?
