GODZILLA VS. KONG Gets a PG-13 Rating and Tie-In Comic Art Shows a New Titan and Bearded Kong

Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla Vs. Kong has received an official PG-13 rating from the MPAA for “intense sequences of creature violence/destruction and brief language.”

I’m sure this is no surprise to anyone because we all know damn well that Warner Bros. isn’t going to make it Rated R.

Adam Wingard (The Guest, Your Next, Death Note) is directing the film, and it’s the fourth movie in Legenday’s monster universe, which also consists of 2004’s Godzilla, 2017’s Kong: Skull Island and 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

This next movie will see the two iconic giant monsters clash amid a "human conspiracy" to wipe out the giant monsters for good. Here’s the previously released synopsis:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

The arrival of King Kong was teased in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The crossover event stars Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood), Shun Oguri (Gintama), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Demian Bichir (The Nun), Van Marten (The Walking Dead), and Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon).

I also included some art from the tie-in comic for the film. These come from a recent panel from tie-in publisher Legendary Comics and they show off a new titan known as Camazotz, as well an older, bearded version of King Kong.
