GODZILLA VS. KONG Synopsis Released as The Film Goes Into Production
Director Adam Wingard (The Guest, You’re Next) has assembled his cast for Godzilla Vs. Kong and is now shooting the film! Legendary Pictures officially announced that production began on Twitter and the first synopsis for the film has been released giving us our first idea of what the story will entail.

The cast for the film includes Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood), Shun Oguri (Gintama), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Demian Bichir (The Nun), Van Marten (The Walking Dead) and Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon).
As for the the synopsis, it reveals that the two iconic creatures will do battle amid a "human conspiracy" to wipe out the giant monsters for good. Here it is:
In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
Sounds like a solid concept, now we’ll just ahve to wait and see if they can awesomely execute it!
The film is set to stomp its way into theaters on May 22nd, 2020.
