GOLDENEYE 007 Coming to Xbox Game Pass and RARE REPLAY
During the recent Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that the classic first-person shooter game Goldeneye 007 would be making its way to the N64 library available through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass.
However, that’s not the only way fans will be able to enjoy the classic game on modern consoles. It was also announced by Rare and Xbox that Goldeneye 007 is also headed to Xbox consoles via Xbox Game Pass or through digital copies of Rare Replay (affiliate link).
From what I can tell, the Switch version will be more of a direct port with the addition of online multiplayer. This Xbox version is more of a remaster with native 16:9 aspect ratio and resolution support up to 4K Ultra HD. It will also have improved controls like dual analogue stick support, run at a consistent framerate (said to be 60fps), and include achievements.
The one catch is that the Xbox version will not have online multiplayer. You can still get together with friends and enjoy local multiplayer games up to four players. Which version are you more excited to play? There is currently no release date for the game to be released on either platform.
