Good Grief, Are Fans Really Upset That THE BATMAN Didn't Get an R-Rating? Yes... Yes They Are

So, it was announced today that Matt ReevesThe Batman was slapped with a PG-13 rating, which is what I expected it to be. Warner Bros. has never released an R-rated live-action Batman movie, and I imagine they aren’t going to start now.

Batman is big business, and they aren’t going to cut out their younger fans by making an R-rated movie. On top of that, there’s all the merch and toys that the studio wants to cash in on! Sorry, but anyone who thought this movie was going to be rated R is delusional, and there seems to be a lot of fans out there that think The Batman was going to be rated R.

The movie got a PG-13 rating for "strong violent and disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.”

I don’t know why fans are so bent out of shape over this. All of the live-action Batman movies that have been made are PG-13, and they’re freakin’ great! The films made by Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan are filled with super dark and violent shit and they tell fantastic stories for the character!

Why does this one need to be rated R to be good? It doesn’t. Comic book films can still tell awesome, dark, and brutal stories without it being rated R.

Here are a few silly comments from people I’ve seen on Twitter. People are crazy.
