GOOD OMENS Season 3 Trailer Reveals an Epic, Emotional Finale for Prime Video’s Fantasy Series
The end is almost here for Good Omens, and it looks like Prime Video is going out with something big, strange, and a little heartbreaking. The newly released trailer teases the final chapter of the beloved fantasy series, wrapping things up with a single 90-minute episode that promises to deliver one last wild ride.
Picking up directly after Season 2’s emotional fallout, the story throws us right back into the complicated bond between Aziraphale and Crowley. Their long-standing friendship took a serious hit when Aziraphale chose to return to Heaven, leaving Crowley behind on Earth. Now, that decision is coming back around in a major way.
Michael Sheen returns as Aziraphale, who’s no longer just a fussy bookshop angel. He’s now the Supreme Archangel, and with that title comes a massive responsibility: overseeing the Second Coming. It’s a role that clearly weighs on him, especially with everything left unresolved between him and Crowley.
Meanwhile, David Tennant’s Crowley isn’t exactly the type to let things go quietly, and the tension between the two looks like it’ll be front and center.
The cast coming back for this finale is stacked with familiar faces, including Doon Mackichan as Michael, Gloria Obianyo as Uriel, Liz Carr as Saraqael, Paul Chahidi as Sandalphon, Quelin Sepulveda as Muriel, and Derek Jacobi as The Metatron. There’s also a notable addition with Bilal Hasna stepping in as Jesus.
Getting to this final season hasn’t been a smooth journey. Production faced delays tied to allegations involving Neil Gaiman, who denies them. While Gaiman contributed to writing the final episode, he stepped back from the production itself.
During that time, the plan for Season 3 shifted from a full season into this single, feature-length conclusion. It’s a pretty unusual way to close out a series. But, this has always been a story that thrives on doing things its own way.
There’s still another Gaiman and Terry Pratchett adaptation in the pipeline with Anansi Boys, though that project hasn’t surfaced yet. For now, all eyes are on how Good Omens sticks the landing.
With Heaven, Hell, and the fate of humanity all tangled up in one last story, this finale has a lot to juggle, but I’m looking forward to seeing how it all comes to an end.
