Google Stadia is Coming to More Devices This Month
Up until now, if you wanted to play Stadia games on your TV you needed to use a Chromecast Ultra device or connect a computer to your TV. Earlier this week, it was announced that Stadia is expanding its compatible devices to the Chromecast with Google TV and certain Android TV OS devices this month. More details are to come, but now fans can get ready to use the following devices to play games via Stadia starting June 23.
Chromecast with Google TV
Hisense® Android Smart TVs (U7G, U8G, U9G)
Nvidia® Shield TV
Nvidia® Shield TV Pro
Onn™ FHD Streaming Stick and UHD Streaming Device
Philips® 8215, 8505, and OLED 935/805 Series Android TVs
Xiaomi® MIBOX3 and MIBOX4
If your Android TV OS device is not on the list, you can opt into experimental support and play Stadia that way. Just keep in mind it may not work perfectly. All you need to do is install the Stadia app from the Play Store, launch it, and then hit “Continue” at the opt-in screen. Android TV OS devices will allow you to use a Stadia Controller or other compatible Bluetooth controllers.
