GOTHAM KNIGHTS Series Casts HELLRAISER Star Doug Bradley as The Villain Joe Chill
Hellraiser star Doug Bradley has joined the cast of The CW’s upcoming DC series Gotham Knights. He is set to appear in episode 6 and he will play the DC villain Joe Chill.
Joe Chill is the criminal that gunned down Bruce Wayne’s parents, and “after fifty years of rotting on death row, Joe Chill is scheduled to be executed. But Gotham’s notorious ‘Patron Saint of Bad Guys’ is not about to let his secrets die with him.”
Series producers Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams said in a statement: “When casting the iconic role of Joe Chill, arguably the man who created Batman, there was only one name we considered – Doug Bradley. We needed an actor with the kind of gravitas that would do justice to such a seminal character in DC Comics canon. And who better to embody the role of the classic Gotham fiend than the man whose legendary portrayal of another classic fiend – Pinhead in the Hellraiser franchise — continues to terrify generations of horror fans?”
In the series, “In the wake of Bruce Wayne's murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman's enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city's most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it's ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors.”
The series stars Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, and Misha Collins as Harvey Dent.
Gotham Knights is being produced by Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions. Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams are writing the series with Fiveash and Stoteraux also executive producing alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden. J.J. Abrams will serve as a co-executive producer.
Gotham Knights is set to premiere on March 14th.
