GRAVITY FALLS Creator Alex Hirsch Signs On to Develop New Material for Netflix
I’m so excited guys! We’re going to be getting more content from Alex Hirsch! For those unfamiliar with Hirsch, he is the creator of Gravity Falls which is an amazing cartoon that aired on Disney. Hirsch has now signed a deal to “exclusively develop new series and feature films” for Netflix with Deadline saying that they will be adult animation. Cindy Holland, VP of Original Content for Netflix made this statement about Hirsch joining forces with the streaming service:
“Alex is an imaginative storyteller with new ideas who’s quickly developed a reputation as a fresh new voice in animation. We couldn’t be more excited to work with him as we continue expanding our adult animated slate.”
Hirsch said the following:
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the amazing roster of talent coming to Netflix. Plus it couldn’t hurt to be on The Algorithm’s good side before The Singularity hits. Awesome things are coming!”
