Great New Trailer for Joss Whedon's Victorian-Set Superhero Series THE NEVERS

We’ve got a great new trailer for the Joss Whedon-created HBO series The Nevers. The is described as an “epic science-fiction drama about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world.”

The new trailer is filled with a lot of cool new footage. I like everything that I’ve seen from the series so far, and I’m excited to get to know the characters and see how the story plays out. On top of the trailer, we have new details on the characters that fill the series along with details on the first eight episodes of Season 1.

The story is set in the last years of Queen Victoria’s reign. “London is beset by the ‘Touched’: people – mostly women – who suddenly manifest abnormal abilities – some charming, some very disturbing. Among them are Amalia True (Laura Donnelly), a mysterious, quick-fisted widow, and Penance Adair (Ann Skelly), a brilliant young inventor. They are the champions of this new underclass, making a home for the Touched, while fighting the forces of… well, pretty much all the forces – to make room for those whom history as we know it has no place.”

Whedon served as the writer, director, executive producer, and showrunner of the series during the first half of production, and then he bowed out. HBO replaced Whedon as showrunner with Philippa Goslett, who will also executive produce alongside Whedon.
