Great New Trailer For Taika Waititi's World War II Satire Film JOJO RABBIT

We’ve got a wonderfully entertaining new trailer to share with you today for Taika Waititi‘s World War II satire film called Jojo Rabbit. Waititi directed the film and also stars in it as a young boy’s imaginary friend, who happens to be Adolf Hitler.

The trailer for this dark and bizarre comedy is filled will funny new footage, and it also gives us a better and clearer look at what the story will tell.

Writer director Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK, HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE), brings his signature style of humor and pathos to his latest film, JOJO RABBIT, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.

Some people seem to be getting the wrong idea about this movie, and there are people who are offended by what the trailers have shown, but this is a “satire that goes to war on hate.” It’s supposed to tell a positive story. Sure, it does it in an unconventional way, but Waititi is an unconventional guy. Waititi previously talked about the film saying:

“I’m stoked to begin shooting my anti-war satire. We’ve assembled an incredible cast and I couldn’t be more excited to finally ridicule Nazis and their beliefs. This film is going to piss off a lot of racists and that makes me very happy.”

The movie also stars Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson, Stephen Merchant, and Alfie Allen, and it hits theaters on October 18th, 2019
