Great Super Bowl Trailer for Illumination Sequel MINIONS & MONSTERS

During the Super Bowl, we were treated to a teaser that featured a Minion running to the screen to let us know a new trailer was being released for a new Minion movie, which you can check out below.

The animated Illumination feature, titled Minions & Monsters, welcomes back the beloved yellow characters, who have written a monster movie script, and are looking to conjure up some classic monsters to star alongside them.

Originally slated for June 30, 2027, the animated film was moved up to July 1, 2026 alongside Shrek 5, which will land in theaters on December 23, 2026.

Minions 3 is written by Brian Lynch (Minions, The Secret Life of Pets films) and directed by Academy Award nominee Pierre Coffin, the filmmaker behind the first three Despicable Me films and the first Minions film. Coffin has also provided the voice for the Minions since their film debut in 2010.

These movies are more funny and entertaining than they seem to have any business being, and I look forward to watching this third installment! Check out the trailer below:
