Great Trailer for IMAX Original Documentary LOST WOLVES OF YELLOWSTONE
A great trailer has been released for the IMAX Original Documentary Lost Wolves of Yellowstone, from filmmaker Thomas Winston (Expedition Wild, Epic Yellowstone, Path of the Panther).
The doc, which has premiered at a handful of festivals so far, tells the story of the return of wolves to Yellowstone National Park in the 1990s. The massive reintroduction was organized by the US government, Canada, and a team headed up by biologist Mollie Beattie. The goal was to bring wolves back after they had been extinct for 50 years.
The film’s synopsis reads:
“On January 12th, 1995 wolves returned to Yellowstone National Park in America, 50 years after their extirpation. Mollie Beattie, director of the US Fish and Wildlife Service, carried the first Canadian born wolf into The Park's experimental acclimation enclosure – Alpha Female Wolf Number 5. From that day forward, their lives would be forever connected. This is the true story of Mollie’s Pack and the Lost Wolves of Yellowstone.”
