Great Trailer for Netflix Sports Documentary MIRACLE: THE BOYS OF '80

Netflix has released a great trailer for the documentary Miracle: The Boys of ‘80. The film follows the incredible true story of the USA Olympic Hockey Team of 1980, the ultimate underdogs who pulled off the ultimate feat.

The story was previously told in the 2004 film Miracle, and this is a great follow up, as it sits down with the original team members and gets their perspectives on what went down during that incredible season.

The documentary is co-directed by sports doc filmmakers Max Gershberg (Court of Gold) and Jake Rogal (Biography: WWE Legends, The Last Dance, Court of Gold).

The synopsis reads: “This is the story of the ‘Miracle on Ice,’ when the 1980 US Hockey Team beat the USSR in the Olympic semi-finals at the height of the Cold War to bring home a gold medal.

“Their iconic underdog story is told with never-before-seen 16mm footage and firsthand reflections from the players who were brought back to the scene of their historic victory.”

This looks like a great watch for fans of sports, or just great, feel-good stories. Check out the trailer below, and watch Miracle: The Boys of ‘80 when it debuts on Netflix on January 30th.
