Great Trailer for STARZ Limited Series THREE WOMEN Starring Shailene Woodley, Betty Gilpin, DeWanda Wise and Gabrielle Creevy

A great trailer has been released for the STARZ limited series Three Women, starring Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies), Betty Gilpin (GLOW), DeWanda Wise (Jurassic World: Dominion), Gabrielle Creevy (In My Skin), and Blair Underwood (Gattaca, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

The series is based on a true story detailed in Lisa Taddeo’s bestselling book of the same name, and it was adapted by Chisa Hutchinson.

The titular series that “explores female desire” finds the three women on a crash course to radically overturn their lives. Lina (Gilpin), a homemaker in suburban Indiana, is a decade into a passionless marriage when she embarks on an affair that quickly becomes all-consuming and transforms her life.

Sloane (Wise), a glamorous entrepreneur in the Northeast, has a committed open marriage with Richard (Underwood), until two sexy new strangers threaten their aspirational love story. Maggie (Creevy), a student in North Dakota, weathers an intense storm after accusing her married English teacher (Jason Ralph) of an inappropriate relationship.

Gia (Woodley), a writer grieving the loss of her family, persuades each of these three spectacular “ordinary” women to tell her their stories, and her relationships with them change the course of her life forever.

“These three women had the audacity to believe they deserved more,” says Woodley’s Gia in a voiceover. She then takes off on a solo driving trip across the country and back where she discovers what she didn’t know what she was looking for – “these three women.” “More than I wanted to tell their stories I wanted to hear them myself,” she says.

Laura Eason (The Loudest Voice, House of Cards) is the series showrunner, and Taddeo (upcoming Animal) serves as creator and executive producer. Kathy Ciric and Emmy Rossum also serve as executive producers.

Three Women premieres Friday, September 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on linear and at midnight on the Starz app.
