Great Trailer for the Baltimore Dirt-Bike Rider Film CHARM CITY KINGS

While I was at Sundance this year I kept hearing from people that I had to see a film called Charm City Kings. There were a lot of people that kept telling me how great it was, but unfortunately, after making the effort, I wasn’t able to catch the film while I was there.

Sony Pictures Classics is distributing the film, they’ve shared the first trailer for it, and it looks like a great movie! The film is a feature adaptation of the acclaimed documentary 12 O'Clock Boys.

The story follows 14-year-old Mouse (Jahi Di'Allo Winston) who “desperately wants to join the Midnight Clique, an infamous group of Baltimore dirt-bike riders who rule the summertime streets. His older brother, Stro, was their top rider before his tragic death—a loss that consumes Mouse as much as his passion for bikes. Mouse's mom (Teyonah Parris) and his police mentor, Detective Rivers (William Catlett), work overtime to help the charismatic teen reach his full potential, but when the Midnight Clique’s leader, Blax (Meek Mill), takes the boy under his wing, the lure of revving his own dirt bike skids Mouse toward a road way past the straight and narrow.”

Charm City Kings is set to hit theaters on April 10th, 2020. Watch the trailer and let us know if this looks like a movie that you’ll want to check out.
