Great VFX Video for DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES
A fantastic behind the scenes video for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been released, and it specifically focuses on the motion capture aspect of of the VFX that is being worked on by the wizards at Weta. It still amazes me how they can take these velcro and spandex-suited actors and transform them into apes. Andy Serkis plays Caesar, and in an interview with EW he says,
"I’ve seen an entire cut of the movie without any special effects whatsoever. It’s amazing to watch as Weta’s work comes in and we’re transformed."
The movie looks pretty incredible, and it will be released in theaters on July 11th.
