Greg Berlanti Hired to Adapt THE GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO VICE & VIRTUE for HBO Max

Greg Berlanti, creator, writer, and executive producer of Titans, The Flash, Arrow ,and Supergirl, has been tasked with another television project, this time at HBO Max. The streaming service has hired Berlanti to adapt the New York Times best-selling YA novel The Gentleman’s Guide To Vice And Virtue into a new series. The book is written by Mackenzi Lee, and Deadline provides the following story description:

The Gentleman’s Guide To Vice And Virtue follows bisexual British Lord, Henry Monty Montague, who embarks on a grand tour of 18th-century Europe with his best friend and secret crush, Percy. But Montague’s final blowout before he his expected to take over the family estate turns into a harrowing manhunt as the roguish aristocrat’s reckless and hedonistic decisions take an ugly turn.

This sounds like a perfect project for HBO Max. The book has a massive following, and a great helmer to help the adaptation along. I just added this book to my audiobook list, and I look forward to seeing it come to life. Have you read the book? Are you excited for the adaptation?
