Gritty First Trailer for Netflix Prequel Series YOUNG WALLANDER
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming prequel series Young Wallander, based on the Swedish novels by author Henning Mankell, which were previously made into the series Wallander that ran between 2008 and 2016, and starred Kenneth Branagh as the titular cop.
This new reimagined prequel series “tells the story of Kurt Wallander in his early 20s which will center around his formative experiences – professional and personal as he takes on his first-ever case. After recently graduating from the police academy, he suddenly witnesses a brutal crime and is pulled into solving it under the wing of superintendent Hemberg.”
The new series stars Adam Pålsson, Richard Dillane, Leanne Best, and Ellise Chappell. Ole Endresen and Jens Jonsson are directing from a script written by Ben Harris. Check out the awesome trailer below, and watch Young Wallander on Netflix on September 3rd.
