GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Star Karen Gillan Responds to Being Featured on Jeopardy

There are some trademark signs in the industry that you’ve truly “made it.” Like if you’re a musician, and you hear your song on the radio, or even moreso, when that song gets remade by Weird Al Yankovic. Or if you’re an actor, and you get a beefy role in a Marvel movie, or get nominated for an award, or you get to go on Saturday Night Live, or in Karen Gillan’s case, you’re featured in a question/answer on Jeopardy! What a fun and exciting treat! Here’s the answer given on the December 12th episode:

“An action-packed 2017 for Karen Gillan, planet hopping as Nebula in Guardians 2 and jungle jumping as Martha in this film.”

The answer, in question form, is of course, “What is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle?” Jeopardy tweeted to the actress the night the episode aired, with this fun tweet:

This has certainly been Gillan’s year! She came off the success of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, then wrote, directed, and starred in her directorial debut The Party’s Just Beginning, and rounded things out with Avengers: Infinity War. Next year she will have Avengers: Endgame coming out in April and the Jumanji sequel in December. Gillan is a great actress, and my whole family is excited for her upcoming projects!
