GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Casts Pom Klementieff in Mystery Role

The first official casting has been made for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 outside of the original cast from the first film. According to THR, Marvel and director James Gunn have cast Oldboy remake actress Pom Klementieff in a mystery role.

Apparently this is a big role in the story, and according to the report, "Marvel conducted a wide search for its mystery part, which called for an Asian actress, and did several rounds of chemistry reads." I have absolutely no idea who this character could be, so let the speculation begin!

Klementieff joins Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and Dave Bautista, who are all expected to reprise their roles in the film.

Marvel and Gunn were also looking at Matthew McConaughey to play the villain in the sequel, but the actor recently passed, so the studio will continue the hunt for an actor to take on that role...whatever it is.

The movie is set to hit theaters on May 5th, 2017. For additional information on the film, click here.
