GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Could Include Earth-Based Heroes

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has only just been released this last month and people are already wondering about what the next film will entail. While James Gunn hasn't revealed too much, he's been good at answering questions to the best of his ability.

Of the many questions that he's been asked on Facebook, one fan asked if Peter Quill will remain the only human in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Gunn responded with this:

"Human characters are no longer out of consideration."

Brief and to the point, but what a point it makes! It doesn't necessarily mean that there will be humans, but the possibility is now out there. So many characters would be fun to see in space with the crew. Nathan Fillion has been teased as being the MCU's Wonder Man in fake movie posters. Although the scene was cut, It would be great to see him eventually show up as Wonder Man! Also, possibly having Quill's uncle play a role, seeing as it's been awhile since Peter has seen him, it might be nice to say hi. Even the possibility of some of the Avengers joining them in space is cool.

Of all the ideas of possible choices, one that sticks out to many is Richard Rider, aka Nova. While no casting or news has necessarily been revealed that he will be in GotG or Infinity War, the thought is out there that he may make an entrance. If Thanos really does want all of the Infinity Stones, and his way of getting them is through force, the home planet of the Novas, Xandar, could be in great danger. If Thanos lays waste to the Novas and one remains, this could be the start of the Nova that we've been waiting for.

We'll have to wait quite a long time until GotG Vol. 3 comes out to really know who shows up, but I can tell you I'm already pumped.
