Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a talented actress we are seeing more and more of these days. She gave an incredible performance in the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, and has appeared in a range of projects including Belle, Concussion, Motherless Brooklyn, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series Loki.

Now we can expect to see her star in the upcoming BBC adaptation of JP Delaney’s best-selling psychological thriller The Girl Before. Emmy-nominated Killing Eve director Lisa Brühlmann will helm the series, with Marissa Lestrade writing, and Delaney overseeing the project. Here’s the synopsis:

The Girl Before follows Jane, a traumatized woman who falls in love with an extraordinary minimalist house, which remains under the spell of the architect who originally designed it. But when she discovers that another damaged woman died in the same One Folgate Street property three years earlier, she starts to wonder if her own story is just a rerun of the girl before.

This sounds like a really interesting story, and Mbatha-Raw is a perfect actress for the role. Does The Girl Before sound like something you might be interested in watching?
