GUILD WARS 2 Announces Reveal Date for END OF DRAGONS Expansion and Summer Road Map

Guild Wars 2 released the final chapter of the Icebrood Saga today and with it comes an update on what’s in store for the future of the game. ArenaNet has announced that fans will be able to learn more about the third expansion, End of Dragons, on July 27 during a live stream. Details about the setting of Cantha and the story will be revealed along with other information like how to participate in beta events. I cannot wait! The team also released the following pieces of concept art to get players talking.

Oh my gosh, I am so excited! I didn’t really care for Cantha back in Guild Wars: Factions, but this art looks gorgeous and very promising.

In addition, ArenaNet dropped their road map for the summer. There’s not too much here, but there is something for all fans to enjoy. On May 11, there’s going to be a balance patch released to change up the meta. Then, on May 25, players who log in during a promotional period will be able to get Living World episodes for free, simply by logging in. A new episode will be featured each week in chronological order. There will also be a new meta-achievement for completing the content that unlocks unique rewards such as a voucher for a precursor weapon in End of Dragons. July 13 will follow this up by bringing back a rebalanced and slightly updated version of Twisted Marionette from Living World Season 1 as a limited time bonus event. At the same time, the Legendary Armory will launch. This is a really cool update if you are into legendary gear.

The Legendary Armory is a new way to manage your legendary gear. You can take your legendary item, add it to the armory, and then every level 80 character on your account will have access to it. That’s nuts!

Finally, the rest of the summer will feature week-long experience bonuses in PvE and PvP, a Fractal Rush event, and the annual Dragon Bash festival.
