GUILD WARS 2 Shows New Roadmap for Content Updates
ArenaNet recently gave Guild Wars 2 fans an update that we’re all excited for. First, starting next month fans will be able to start the multi-chapter finale called The Icebrood Saga: Champions. The first chapter, called “Truce,” will launch on November 17 and kick off the story that’ll get us ready for the third expansion, End of Dragons. Icebrood Saga: Champions will then continue to release content every few months with the fourth chapter launching in May 2021.
You’ve always been a leader, skilled at bringing people together to protect what they hold dear. Now the treachery you uncovered in the north has left your allies shaken, and you’ll need to rely on the bonds of trust between you to survive what’s coming.
The Icebrood Saga‘s conclusion will be felt throughout Tyria—even across the seas.
During Icebrood Saga: Champions, players will get to enjoy Dragon Response Missions. These replayable missions will be introduced one-by-one with each chapter of the story’s conclusion and are doable by yourself or in a party of up to 5 people. Your group will run around to invasion points and raise defenses to protect the area from dragon minions. To help you out, you’ll be able to grow trust with various factions across Tyria. As the trust and relationships grow, these factions will randomly aid you in the Dragon Response Missions.
In addition to Icebrood Saga: Champions, fans also finally get the voice acting for “No Quarters” and “Jormag Rising!” That’s right, they’ve finally put everything together so that the voice actors could record at home. The voice acting will be added on November 17!
