Guillermo del Toro Will Receive His Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Next Week
The Oscar and Golden Globe Award-Winning director Guillermo del Toro is getting some big recognition next week, as he will be receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The director has won awards for his beautiful film The Shape of Water, as well as nominations for his film Pan’s Labyrinth. The filmmaker is known for his imaginative writing style that takes us to far away lands and into beautiful and terrifying places in his mind. He’s a pretty cool guy, and it’s about time he gets this fun notch on his career belt.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce reported that del Toro will receive the 2,669th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. PST. The star will be dedicated in the category of Motion Pictures at 6918 Hollywood Boulevard in front of The Line Store. J.J. Abrams and Lana Del Rey will be in attendance, and it is open to the public, but if you can’t make the event in person, the Chamber of Commerce invites fans to watch the ceremony on walkoffame.com.
