Guy Ritchie Wants to Direct SUICIDE SQUAD 2 and I Think That Would Be Awesome

As of right now, Warner Bros. is pursuing Mel Gibson to direct Suicide Squad 2. I have no idea if that's going to work out or not, but there's one other director that would like to give it a shot! That director is Guy Ritchie. While talking to Variety, the director was asked if Warner Bros. had approached him with an offer to helm any of their upcoming DC films. He didn't confirm or deny anything, but he did say:

"I'd quite fancy doing Suicide Squad 2, because I thought I could do a good job with it. I can’t do it because I’m doing something else, but I’ve felt I could really do something with that."

I'd actually really love to see Ritchie direct a Suicide Squad film! That's the kind of story with the kind of characters that he would do awesome things with! I've always loved his unique film making style with movies like Snatch and Sherlock Holmes, and it's a style that would work great with Suicide Squad. It's too bad that he's busy developing something else.

Some of the other directors that WB has been talking with for the film include Ruben Fleischer, Daniel Espinosa, and Jonathan Levine. Out of all the directors that are in talks, Gibson is my top choice, but it would have been nice if Ritchie could've done it.
