Halle Berry Says She Confronted Bryan Singer on X-MEN Set and Calls It "One of the Greatest Days"

Despite directing some pretty good films in his career, director Bryan Singer is notorious for the toxic work environments he has created on his sets.

He’s been accused of sexual assault, and has a long list of former cast and crew members who will attest that he’s been difficult to work with, and is generally a pretty big jerk. So it’s fun to actually hear a story about him which involves the guy getting put in his place.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Academy Award winner Halle Berry said that she had finally had enough with Singer on the set of the X-Men movie X2 (2003), and she let him have it.

She explained that she confronted him over his on-set behavior, and she was thrilled that she got to tell him “just where to go and how to get there on the set of X-Men one day.”

“Everybody was mad, but they all said to me, ‘Halle, you go tell ’em,’ because they knew I would. And it’s one of the greatest days on a set, telling someone who was wronging the entire crew, the entire cast, exactly where to go. And then I got on a plane and flew home with my X-Men suit on.”

Berry added, “I’m sorry, that guy deserved it.”

Berry recently admitted she’s “sad” that she won’t reunite with her fellow X-Men in the Russo Bros’ Avengers: Doomsday, but she would return “in a heartbeat” for any future mutant missions.

You hear that, Marvel? Fans would be happy to see her return! Maybe it’s just a well-kept secret? We will just have to wait and see.
