HAMILTON Actor Anthony Ramos to Star in New TRANSFORMERS Movie
Paramount Pictures and Hasbro’s eOne are currently developing multiple Transformers movies. One of those films is being helmed by Creed II director Stephen Caple Jr. His project is said to be Transformers: Beast Alliance, which is based on the franchise spinoff Beast Wars that centers around robots that transform into robotic animals.
We’ve now learned that Anthony Ramos (Hamilton, In the Heights) is in final negotiations to star in this Transformers movie, the script of which is being written by The Amazing Spider-Man scribe James Vanderbilt.
We don’t really have any details on the plot, but the original animated series centers around characters like animals like Cheetor (Cheetah), Optimus Primal (Gorilla), Rhinox (Rhinoceros), and more.
The other Transformers films in development include a Bumblebee sequel from Joby Harold (Army of the Dead); an animated film being developed by Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley; and another live-action movie coming from Charm City Kings director Angel Manuel Soto and The Defenders writer Marco Ramirez.
